conversations over the dining table

My parents are going on a trip, and were discussing about the payment over lunch.

Mum: Do you have enough money? Need me to draw?

My sister happily chips in,

“Need me to colour?”

There is silence. The sister is also silent, as if it wasn’t a joke.

Then it dawns upon us, and after some hearty laughter, I’m assigned to cut it out.

If only money came so easily…
